GET OUTSIDE WITH YOUR FURY FRIEND DURING THE

DOG DAYS OF SUMMER, JULY 31!

July 2, 2010 Delaplane, Virginia - Enjoy the afternoon with your “best friend”. From Noon to 6:00 PM you can find out about your “furry friend” and what he/she needs from local pet lovers & the Fauquier SPCA. Activities include: informational booths, dog obedience tips, doggie costume contest, best trick contest, and much more…Bring in a can of dog food and get a free raffle ticket. The Junior Volunteers will be hosting a doggie wash and selling hot dogs & raffle tickets. All proceeds will benefit the Fauquier SPCA.

The Fauquier SPCA was founded in 1957 to offer protection and assistance to the animals of Fauquier County and surrounding areas. The Fauquier SPCA lived up to its name almost immediately. Barely two weeks after it was organized, the SPCA went to the rescue of some starving livestock, whose owner was subsequently convicted of cruelty to animals. In the more than 50 years following its inception, the Fauquier SPCA has continued its mission of providing local animals with the most complete services possible.

Schedule:

Noon – 1 PM Dog Obedience Tips (FSPCA)

1-130 PM Dog Agility Demo (Liberty Hill Pet Resort)

130 – 230 PM Pet Games (FSPCA Board will Judge)

3 – 4 PM Dog Obedience Tips (FSPCA)

4 – 5 PM Ranger led Doggie Walk

5 – 530 PM Doggie Costume Contest (FSPCA Board will Judge)
